Honeycomb cardboard production process

Honeycomb paperboard is a kind of material composed of paper and honeycomb paper core layer, which has the advantages of lightweight, environmental protection, heat insulation, etc., and is widely used in packaging, construction, furniture and other industries. The following will introduce the production process of honeycomb cardboard.

The production of honeycomb cardboard is mainly divided into the following steps:

1. Paper treatment: First, the waste paper is sorted to remove impurities and pollutants, and then the sorted waste paper is broken into fibers. Next, the fibers are mixed with water to form a pulp.

2. Pulp molding: The pulp is formed by the molding machine. There are two types of forming machines: wet forming and dry forming. Wet forming is to spray the pulp evenly on the mold, and then through pressure and vacuum adsorption to make the pulp form a sheet on the mold. Dry forming is to spray the pulp evenly on the mesh belt, and then dry the pulp quickly by hot air or heating plate.

3. Honeycomb paper core layer production: The formed paper is cut and processed to form a paper core layer. The paper core layer is usually shaped like a hexagon or quadrilateral, and the paper layer is interleaved vertically and horizontally to form a honeycomb structure.

4. Bonding of honeycomb cardboard: the paper core layer and the surface paper are bonded. In the bonding process, environmentally friendly and pollution-free glue or cellulose glue is usually used for bonding. Spread the glue evenly on the surface of the paper core layer, and then paste the surface paper on it. Make sure the glue is evenly applied and under moderate pressure to fully bond the core and surface paper.

5. Finished product treatment: Trim the bonded cardboard to remove excess corners and uneven surface parts. Then, the cardboard is flattened, cut, finishing and other processing to make it reach the required size and appearance.
